Rhine Cruise & Glacier Express with Joan & David

Day One

Late morning / lunchtime HOME PICK UPS and we then make our way to Hull for the overnight sailing to Rotterdam.
On board enjoy the many amenities offered and we have included lower berth inside cabins for your comfort. Outside cabins are available on request at a supplement, evening meal can be added for a supplelemt which gives you access to the fabulous World Buffet

Day Two

Breakfast is included on board and we then disembark and begin our journey to Strasbourg where we spend the evening in a 4* City Centre hotel

Day Three

Today we explore Strasbourg starting with a morning guided tour to show us the delights of this historic city. There'll be free time to wander yourselves and late afternoon we board the MS La Boheme for our 4 Night cruise along the Rhine. Once on board all meals are included along with a selection of drinks too.

This evening we set sail for Breisach

Day Four

We’ll arrive in Breisach in the early morning and we've an included excursion with a guided tour of Colmar for you. Colmar is a colorful city bursting with Alsatian charm. You'll discover the picturesque district known as "Little Venice,"with its romantic canals and cobblestone streets; the majestic, Gothic-style Saint Martin’s Church; and the remarkable Maison des Têtes, built at the beginning of the 17th century—named as such for the 111 heads decorating the outside. Back on board ship wespend the afternoon cruising to Basel and enjoy an evening of dancing.

Day Five

One of the many highlights today as we head for the The most famous train in the world!!! We start by boarding our coach to travel to Andermatt to join the Glacier Express to take you on
a panoramic trip through the Alps to Chur. For much of its journey, the train travels on a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Rhaetian Railway, taking you to the most jaw-dropping places in the heart of Switzerland. With unspoiled mountains rising majestically towards the sky, you'll discover the breathtakingly beautiful and idyllic scenery that only this unique and unforgettable route can offer. This excursion alone is a picture postcard of Switzerland. We'll have lunch aboard the train or at a restaurant (depending on availability). We'll return to Basel from Chur to re-join our Ship

Day Six

After a busy couple of days we spend today cruising and relaxing on board our ship and taking in the scenery as we go.

Day Seven

We arrive back into Strasbourg and disembark this morning after breakfast. We then make our way through France to our final nights stay in the Lille area of Northern France

Day Eight

Departing after breakfast we make the short journey for our ferry back to Dover and then onward back to the North West for approximately 7.30pm
