Autumn 4 Rivers Cruise - Luxembourg to Strasbourg

Day One

Late morning / lunchtime HOME PICK UPS and we then make our way to Hull for the overnight sailing to Rotterdam.
On board enjoy the many amenities offered and we have included lower berth inside cabins for your comfort. Outside cabins are available on request at a supplement, evening meal can be added for a supplelemt which gives you access to the fabulous World Buffet

Day Two

Breakfast is included on board and we then disembark and begin our journey to Remich in Luxembourg - the Pearl of the Moselle on the border triangle between Luxembourg, France and Germany situated in a picturesque panorama of vineyards and green spaces. Depending on traffic we enjoy some free time before boarding our Ship to settle in for the evening.

Day Three

This morning we board the coach as we head into Luxembourg City. Luxembourg is a real mix of styles and cultures there's free time to get a closer look at some of the sites, including the Place des Armes, Place de la Constitution, capital buildings, Corniche, old city, Grand Ducal Palace (exterior), and Place Guillaume II. We return to the Ship in Remich, this evening we set sail for Saarburg

Day Four

On arrival in Saarburg you have a choice, see your driver to arrange an optional trip by Coach to enjoy free time in Roman Trier - known for its well-preserved Roman and medieval buildings, but it is also home to some impressive churches as well. We’ll have a look at the amphitheater, the imperial baths, the Roman basilica, and the Porta Nigra, one of
the best-preserved Roman city gates. Of you can choose to stay on board for a relaxing day heading to Trier to collectthose on the excursion and then continuing on to Beilstein.

Day Five

Early morning sail to Cochem. Take a stroll through the narrow, winding streets and enjoy the ambiance full of lovely half-timbered homes with slate roofs, the historic square near the town hall, and the early walls, gates, and churches. The afternoon will be spent cruising the Moselle River, one of the most beautiful tributaries of the Rhine, towards Koblenz. Enjoy the calm as we pass by charming villages, vineyards, and what seems like a castle on every peak. Once we arrive at the end of the afternoon, explore the city with our host or hostess. The
rest of the evening is yours to do as you please.

Day Six

This morning, we’ll pass through the beautiful and romantic Rhine Valley. Majestic castles, mysterious ruins, and famous vineyards dot the countryside known for its legendary German royalty and fabled Lorelei Rock.Our ship will arrive in Rüdesheim by late morning. Spend your day exploring this enchanting town and in the evening, the famous Drosselgasse with its numerous cafés, bars, and music awaits you. Our ship will begin to cruise towards Mannheim at the end of the evening

Day Seven

We'll arrive in Mannheim early in the morning. This will be our starting point for and included excursion to Heidelberg. Known as the most romantic city in Germany, it has inspired many the painter and poet by its beauty. See the partially ruined, red sandstone castle that sits majestically above the city, overlooking the Neckar River and explore the wonderful historical centre before returning back to Mannheim for our final afternoon cruising. We cruise along the Neckar and Rhine Rivers heading towards Strasbourg. Tonight enjoy a festive gala evening.

Day Eight

We arrive into Strasbourg and disembark this morning after breakfast. We then make our way through France to our final nights stay in the Lille area of Northern France

Day Nine

Departing after breakfast we make the short journey for our ferry back to Dover and then onward back to the North West for approximately 7.30pm
