Excursion One
Our day starts with a visit to Cobh, a quirky and delightfully vibrant historic harbour town which is so much more than a pretty picture. It was from here that the mighty RMS Titanic last set sail on her maiden voyage; and Ellis Island's very first immigrant, 17-year-old Annie Moore, began her journey. We start with an included visit to the Titanic Experience which is housed in the original White Star Line building and then enjoy free time around this delightful town. On our return to the hotel we make a stop in Midleton, home to the Jameson Distillery Experience. Here we enjoy a guided tour, bringing the stories the rich heritage to life followed of course with a tasting.
Excursion Two
A morning visit to the traditional and legendary village of Blarney famous for its historic Woollen Mills and above all its 600 year old castle, which houses the famous Blarney Stone. We enjoy free time here before heading into the buzzing City of Cork, a place where you can shop 'til you drop on St Patrick Street, or where you can climb the 126 steps to the top of St Anne's Cathedral to play a tune on the bell ropes. There's independent coffee shops, quirky museums, and intriguing art galleries. It's an easily walkable city, too, with plenty of historic wonders on display right next to trendy bars, and of course, delicious food and drink a sure thing wherever you go.
Excursion Three
It's back out to the coast today and the lovely town of Kinsale. We start with a 50 minute sail around the harbour, keep your eyes peeled for the resident seals and enjoy the commentary as you take in the views. The remainder of the day will be free to stroll the narrow streets lined with colour-splashed shops and experience many of the delights that make Kinsale one of the most visited towns on the Island of Ireland.
