Excursion 1
This morning we visit the stylish Regency resort of Sidmouth, situated on the Jurassic Coast, “A town caught still in a timeless charm” – according to Poet Laureate, John Betjeman, and Sidmouth still captivates today. This afternoon we continue to the seaside resort of Exmouth, here we enjoy a relaxing River Exe circular cruise, with live commentary on the sights, history and wildlife of the surrounding area.
Excursion 2
We tour through the delightful Exmoor National Park to the unique medieval village of Dunster which has over 200 listed buildings, before continuing to the coastal resort of Minehead, where we enjoy a nostalgic steam train ride through the glorious Somerset countryside on the longest steam heritage railway – the West Somerset Railway
Excursion 3
We enjoy a free’ish’ day in our base of Tiverton, explore the ancient market town before joining our included horse-drawn barge trip and watch the world go by very peacefully along the idyllic Grand Western Canal - a little bit of ‘heaven’ in Devon!
