We also enjoy a special journey on the wonderful Watercress line that happily chugs its way through the beautiful Hampshire Countryside and enjoy free time in the delightful town of Alton where Jane Austen lived, walk in her footsteps or perhaps head to her home which is now a museum

Excursion 1
We visit the Cathedral City of Winchester, Explore the beautiful medieval Cathedral, the World’s longest - fans of Dan Browns Da Vinci Code may be interested to hear it doubled as The Vatican during filming, the more energetic may want to venture to the top of the Tower to enjoy the fabulous views. The wonderful historic streets and alleys are filled with shops and cafes to keep you busy during your visit.
Excursion 2
: We head for the lovely Georgian Market Town of Alresford and here we join the nostalgic Watercress Line Steam Train for a 40 minute journey through the beautiful Hampshire Countryside. Taking it’s name as the original transporter of Watercress around the Country this 10 Mile ends in the Market Town of Alton, and today is Market Day too. The town is famous as the home of Jane Austen and the Jane Austen Trail through the town will allow you follow in hr footsteps -just 1.5 miles from the town centre is her home which is now a Museum.

A Cathedral city of ageless beauty and captivating history, Salisbury has been welcoming travellers since 1227. At the city’s heart is the stunning Cathedral, surrounded by a modern medieval city, full of buildings crafted with the care of another age
