Excursion 1
We journey through the glorious Trossachs and hop aboard the SS Sir Walter Scott for a cruise on Loch Katrine. Sit back, relax and listen to the tales & legends of the loch narrated by a crew member. The day continues through Rob Roy MacGregor country to Callander and back to Stirling for a free afternoon.
Excursion 2
This morning we visit two of Scotland's top attractions - The Kelpies, and the nearby award-winning Falkirk Wheel, where you board a boat to be hoisted 35 metres on the world's only rotating boatlift. Afterwards, the tour heads towards Edinburgh for a wonderful cruise under the three famous Bridges, spanning nearly 140 years of Scottish engineering. The latest bridge opened in 2017 and is the longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world.
Excursion 3
A magnificent day of sightseeing awaits - firstly to Loch Lomond, then across towards the Arrochar Alps and Loch Long. Over the "Rest & Be Thankful" with free time in the ancient town of Inveraray, on Loch Fyne, with its castle dominating the skyline. After lunch, turning north the scenery changes as you enter the Highlands. Photo stop at Kilchurn Castle, Loch Awe before turning south into Perthshire & along the shoreline of Loch Earn, stopping in the characterful town of Crieff.
Highland Hotel, Stirling * * * *
The Stirling Highland Hotel is situated in the heart of historic Stirling and was once a stunning private school. Scholar’s, the elegant restaurant, serves up locally sourced seasonal produce in a wonderful setting. Bedrooms offer Scottish touches and tea/coffee making facilities & TV. The hotel spa is home to four tranquil treatment rooms, a 17-metre indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and a fully equipped gym.
