This amazing holiday will start on Skye – the largest of the Inner Hebrides, and using the fantastic ferry links we’ll also visit Uists, the Isles of Benbecula, Harris & Lewis and en-route we enjoy the amazing scenery of wildlife, coastlines and fresh water and sea lochs. The history and culture of the Hebridean Islands is unique with a strong influence from Norse, Gaelic and Celtic races in fact the Hebrides is where you will find the biggest concentration of Scottish Gaelic speakers in Scotland offering a warm and friendly welcome, but don’t worry English is spoken mostly

Day One
Our Adventure begins as we head North and enjoy an overnight stay in the central Scotland area
EMDay Two
We enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Scottish Highlands as we make our way to Ullapool to catch the early evening ferry which takes 2 &1/2 hrs and gets us to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, the first of our Hebridean Islands. Due to ferry timings dinner this evening may be taken on board the ferry
B, EMDay Three
Today we enjoy a full day tour of Lewis, with an experienced island guide, highlights will include the impressive 5,000-year-old standing stones of Callanish (Scotland's Stonehenge, but older). Our day also visits the Ancient thatched "Blackhouses," a living museum typical of a crofting settlement, telling the story of how life once was on Lewis. Entry included. A stunning day out.
B, EMDay Four
Moving on today we travel along the spine of the Island to Harris with its rugged and mountainous landscapes covered in moorlands, deep lochs, and glorious coastline. Take the sea crossing to Uist-a captivating necklace of islands and islets, where water often dominates the landscape, interconnected by charming causeways and bridges. before spending the afternoon exploring the islands, discovering their remarkable beaches and scenic coastlines. The night will be spent in Benbecula, offering a tranquil and immersive experience in this unique island chain.
B, EMDay Five
Leaving the Uists behind today we catch the ferry from South Uist to the beautiful Isle of Skye. We overnight this evening on Skye, ferry times permitting, we'll enjoy a stop off in the Island Capital of Portree before checking in to our hotel.
B, EMDay Six
Leaving Skye & the Hebrides behind this morning we take the impressive Road Bridge off the Island and back to the mainland. We drive through the stunning Great Glen, allowing for picturesque moments and photo opportunities at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle. There'll be free time in Fort William before travelling through spectacular Glencoe, the scenery takes on a notably more dramatic and awe-inspiring quality with a final overnight in the central belt.
B, EMDay Seven
From our final overnight stay we travel back to the North West after a stunning week of spectacular scenery.

“Where the beauties of heaven unfold by the sea and the sweet purple heather blooms fragrant and free.” The Dark Island Hotel is a great get-away-from-it-all hotel in a stunning countryside location. Enjoy the traditional pub style bar or the quiet exterior courtyard and feast in the large open plan restaurant serving fresh and tasty local produce served to perfection. Bedrooms are homely and offer TV, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have a lift however all bedrooms are on the ground or first floor
