Our River Cruise starts and ends in Cologne and we enjoy visits to, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Rhudesheim with the famous Drosselgasse, an alleyway with half-timbered facades, known as The Worlds Longest Wine Bar. Speyer Germanys oldest planned medieval town with a history spanning 2000 years. Historic Strasbourg, with picturesque half-timbered houses, narrow alleyways, impressive historic buildings and the spectacular Gothic Cathedral, with an impressive façade and a 142 metre high tower. Theres also compact Mannheim by the River Neckar and the laid-back town of Mannhein, all rounded off at the buzzing Roman City of Koblenz. Day One
Late morning pick ups and we head to Hull for our overnight ferry crossing to Rotterdam. Enjoy the many facilities on board whilst you sail and relax in your included inside cabin with low beds. Dinner, this evening can be pre booked for £26pp speak to our reservations department or selcet suring the booking process.
Day Two
We arrive on the Continent, enjoy breakfast on board ship and then disembark. Once through customs it's back on the coach and we travel to Germany and the wonderful City of Cologne to join the A-Rosa Silva for our week long cruise.
We set sail approx, 6pm
Day Three
Late morning we arrive in In the Upper Middle Rhine Valley – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the town of Rüdesheim marks the end of several old merchants’ routes. This strategically important point used to be protected by four castles. Picturesque Rüdesheim is known all around the world for its outstanding wines. Drosselgasse, an alleyway with half-timbered facades, is known as ‘The World’s Longest Wine Bar‘ and is reputed to be the most-visited tourist attraction in Germany after Cologne Cathedral. If you want to sample the local wines, head to the rustic wine taverns in the old town.
We set sail from Rhudesheim around 6pm this evening.
Day Four
Welcome to the Upper Rhine. Speyer is over 2,000 years old and occupies a strategic location on a low terrace beside the river. It is Germany’s oldest planned medieval town. Speyer’s most prominent monument is its cathedral. As one of the country’s most important High Romanesque cathedrals, it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You are sure to have an enjoyable day in Speyer.** Please Note the docking in Speyer is limited and it may be necessary to visit Germersheim, as an alternative today. This will be advised on board
B, L, EMDay Five
This morning we arrivie in Strasbourg, discover the historic city centre of Strasbourg, which is characterised by picturesque half-timbered houses, narrow alleyways and impressive historic buildings. The most iconic landmark is certainly Strasbourg Cathedral, a Gothic cathedral with an impressive façade and a 142 metre high tower from which you can enjoy a fantastic view over the whole city. Be sure to aso visit the pretty district of Pettt France with colourful building and a richa history, we leave Stratsbourg at 10pm this evening giving you the full day to explore.
B, L, EMDay Six
Today we arrive at Mannheim and stay from 8 til 8 - As you sail along the southern Rhine during your river cruise, you will also learn about the many faces of Mannheim, the multicultural heart of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. Welcome to the compact city. From the Neckar to the palace, the city centre is laid out in grid formation. The streets here have no official names, and the area is instead divided into squares.
B, L, EMDay Seven
A morning visit to Mainz is followed by an afternoon sailing to Koblenz, where we arrive this evening
Mainz is known for its cheerful atmosphere and its hospitality. Why not go for a stroll along the tranquil riverbank or enjoy a good glass of local wine while you’re there? You could also visit the city’s main landmark: Saint Martin’s Cathedral. It boasts one of the richest church interiors in the Christian world. With 2,000 years of history, Mainz is not just one of the oldest cities in Germany – it is also a place where you can see history come alive wherever you turn
Day Eight
Enjoy the full day in Koblenz - where you’ll find Roman history, a high-tech research hub and a buzzing cultural scene all in one place. Don’t miss the delightful Kaiserin-Augusta-Anlagen, the southern part of the Rhine promenade. It was turned into a landscaped park with artistic historical monuments and sculptures between 1856 and 1861. If you fancy a treat, try Debbekooche. Originally eaten by those who couldn’t afford goose on Saint Martin’s Day, it is now considered a regional speciality and is traditionally served with apple sauce. Delicious! We leave at 9.30pm to sail overnight back to Cologne
B, L, EMDay Nine
It's breakfast on board then time to disembark and rejoin our coach. We travel back to Rotterdam for the overnight ferry, time allowing we will enjoy our lunchstop in the lovely Dutch town of Valkenburg. All facilities, cabins and meals as per your outward journey
BDay Ten
We wake up back in the UK, enjoy breakfast on baord and then through customs and back to the North West for aound lunchtime

A-ROSA SILVA
With a maximum capacity of 95 cabins, the A-ROSA SILVA offers superb cuisine, a panoramic lounge, spa, heated swimming pool and cultural entertainment. Middle and Upper deck cabins have Juliete balconies.
Tea, coffee, soft drinks, house and sparkling wines and selected beers are included throughout the cruise. Buffet meals with live cooking stations for breakfast, lunch and dinner you can choose either served or buffet dining. Afternoon tea and snacks are served on sailing days too. Onboard you will find a Reception, sun deck, lounge, café, jacuzzi, FREE Wi-Fi, SPA A-ROSA with sauna, gym, relaxation room and 15% off treatments.
